Illness

Little children often get sick. You should keep your child at home throughout the duration of the illness so as to expedite the healing process and avoid getting the other children sick. When your child is ready to return to day care, we would appreciate a note from their doctor indicating that they are free from contagions.

Dietary Concerns

We understand many children have dietary restrictions due to allergies, religious beliefs, and/or personal preferences.  Should you wish to limit or forbid certain food items for any reason, please notify us beforehand and we will ensure that no offensive food item is served to your child.

Weather Related Closures

Causey's Learning Center follows the same weather related policies as Seattle Public Schools. To know if the Causey's programs are open or closed, listen to the public radio and TV reports for Seattle Public Schools.

If Seattle Public Schools are closed for inclement weather (i.e. ice and snow) so are Causey's Learning Center programs.

Likewise, if Seattle Public Schools delay starting for two hours due to weather conditions, so will Causey's Learning Center programs.

School Readiness and Preschool

The City of Seattle funds free preschool programs which help children prepare for kindergarten, academically, socially, and physically. These programs honor family, language, and culture and help children develop the skills and love for learning that lead to academic success.
